Olmstead v. US (1928) Conclusion conveyed by Chief Justice Taft Vote: 5-4 Case arrived at Supreme Court by writ of certiorari. Realities:      The proof in the records uncovers an intrigue of astonishing extent to import, have, and sell alcohol unlawfully.
